BROWNSBURG, Ind. (September 14, 2020) – Ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion, Donny Schatz, left the Sunflower State with another consistent weekend to his credit, this time securing back-to-back top-ten performances during action at Dodge City Raceway Park in Dodge City, Kansas, on Friday and Saturday, September 11-12.

Schatz, driver of the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing/DieHard/Advance Professional/Carquest Auto Parts/Technet Professional Automotive Service/Ford Performance/Mobil 1/Sage Fruit/Curb Records/Absolute Automation & Security/Hunt Brothers Pizza/Digital Ally/J&J Auto Racing/No. 15 sprint car, finished third and sixth, respectively, during his pair of Boot Hill Showdown starts, utilizing his consistency to maintain third in the World of Outlaws championship standings with only 80 markers separating himself from current point leader, Brad Sweet.

Although maintaining his starting position on Friday, finishing third after lining-up third on the main event grid, Schatz advanced a pair of spots on Saturday to jump from the outside of row four to finish sixth; Schatz 30th top-ten result of the 2020 season.

“It was a good race. I thought we were gonna be able to get there, but just couldn’t seem to make anything happen. Some nights are like that, and tonight was one of those,” Schatz said of his Friday night podium finish. “Hats off to my team. They keep plugging away and I appreciate their hard work.”

Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing will continue their quest toward the 2020 World of Outlaws championship with another two-race weekend in the Central Time Zone, this time visiting Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Oklahoma, on Friday, September 18, followed by a stop at the birthplace of the Greatest Show On Dirt, Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, on Saturday, September 19.

Lawton’s visit will award a $10,000 top prize, while the visit to Devil’s Bowl holds a $20,000 potential.
