Rod George was this evening’s top Fully Injected finisher at Mercer Raceway Park – Rick Rarer Photo

Kittanning, Pennsylvania’s Rod George charged from his 13th starting spot in tonight’s Mercer Raceway Park feature event, and rallied to finish in the show position at the conclusion of the 25 lap, non-stop, sprint car main event. George, who climbed 10 spots to finish third, started out the evening with a DNF in his respective heat race because of issues with the car’s rear-end. The problems were fixed promptly, allowing the Kittanning based race team to start the feature event. George would follow last night’s Lernerville Speedway winner, Carl Bowser, and Evan City native, Brandon Spithaler, at the checkers. Spithaler started from the front row and lead every lap. There were 15 cars tonight at Mercer Raceway Park.

Rod’s Fully Injected teammates, Adam Kekich and Brandon Matus, also had respectable evenings at the Mercer bullring; both finishing in top 10 positions. Kekich, the Hermitage, Pennsylvania native, was 9th – while “The Wheelman” Brandon Matus, was 10th.
