Rochester Mills, PA (November 12, 2012) ‘The Truth’, Gregg Satterlee of Rochester Mills, PA finished his 2012 season in Concord, NC during the World of Outlaws Late Model Series sanctioned, Peak Motor Oil ‘World Finals’ doubleheader at The Dirt Track at Charlotte.

Gregg qualified 37th fastest out of a stout 72 car field for the weekend’s first event and 14th fastest for the finale on Saturday, November 3. On Friday, November 2, Satterlee transferred to the $10,000 to-win feature event by finishing third in his heat race behind 2012 World of Outlaws Late Model Series Champion Darrell Lanigan and Steve Francis. After starting in the 13th position in the 50 lap main event, Gregg crossed the line 15th in the final rundown. Satterlee used another third place finish during his Saturday heat race to again transfer to the main event where he started 14th, which is also where he would finish.

‘To go to Charlotte, with the quality of cars there, and make both shows is an accomplishment in itself,’ Gregg said while vacationing in Florida, ‘but we definitely wanted to race better in the features. We feel like we left a little on the table as far as what we could have done to the car to make it better for the main events to help us run better. We’re a little disappointed with how we finished but in the grand scheme of things, it was a good weekend.’

Satterlee’s 2012 season has been highlighted with thirteen wins, 32 top five’s, and 42 top-ten’s in 67 total starts. Remarkably, of Gregg’s thirteen wins, eleven came at different facilities. Satterlee’s wins came at Dog Hollow Speedway, Eastside Speedway, Hagerstown Speedway, Hesston Speedway, Lernerville Speedway, Marion Center Speedway, Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway (2), Port Royal Speedway, Virginia Motor Speedway, and Winchester Speedway (2).

‘We traveled a little more this year and hit a lot of new places,’ Gregg said, ‘and we had success at a lot of those new tracks. It goes back to getting prepared in the shop and the crew; they all worked their tails off all year to make sure we were ready to go every time we unloaded. I can’t thank (Crew Chief) Robbie Allen, my dad (Gary) and the rest of the crew enough for the time and effort they all put in this season.’

Among those thirteen wins was four Three State Flyers Series wins which led Satterlee to his first series championship. ‘We didn’t plan on points racing this year at all but after the first few races, we were leading the points and realized that we’d probably be at the rest of the shows anyway so we decided to keep going with the series.’ Gregg continued to talk about his series championship, ‘It’s definitely an awesome achievement for us and we’re proud to be called the 2012 Three State Flyers Champion. I have to thank our sponsors Satterlee Petroleum Distributors, East American Motorsports, Integra Shocks, JNJ Motorsports Media, Zero Wraps, Roush Yates Engines, Rocket Chassis and everyone who helps our team. Without the support of our sponsors we couldn’t do what we love to do and go out and compete for championships.’
