Joe Martin Set For Huge Weekend In Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania!

Ringgold, PA – 9/13/12 -Ringgold, Pennsylvania native and Team Fully Injected crate late model star, Joe Martin, is set for a full weekend of competition at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial, Pennsylvania. The ‘true outlaw’ FASTRAK competitor will take part in the 24th Annual ‘Tri-Star Pittsburgher’ weekend at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway this Friday and Saturday, September 14th and 15th; featuring a 30 lap, $2000-to-win main event for the FASTRAK/Pro Late Models on Saturday nght. Martin is certainly no stranger to the big half-mile located just minutes from downtown Pittsburgher; as the familiar Martin Farms/Allegheny Crane Rental ’55’ found victory lane at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway one time already in 2012. The entire Joe Martin Motorsports team (JM2 Motorsports) looks forward to returning to Pittsburgh this weekend; with hopes of jump-starting their busy upcoming schedule with a victory this Saturday night.
‘Tri-Star Pittsburgher’ action will kick-off Friday evening, September 14th, with all preliminary action for the crate engine powered FASTRAK/Pro Late Models. Preliminary action will consist of everything on the weekend format excluding feature racing. Time trials, heat races, and consolation B-mains will all be contested on Friday night. Martin, and the entire JM2 Motorsports operation, will then return to ‘Dirt’s Monster Half-Mile’ on Saturday evening, September 15th, for the ‘Tri-Star Pittsburgher’ finale. The FASTRAK/Pro Late Model feature will be 30 laps in distance; paying over $2,000 to the winner. Other headlining divisions on the ‘Tri-Star Pittsburgher’ weekend program include the UFo Super Late Model Super Series, BRP Modified Tour, and the ‘410’ sprint cars.
Joe Martin has earned four wins already in 2012 as he looks to secure win #5 this weekend. The team’s lone Pittsburgh victory came back on Saturday, August 11th. The Wylie RaceCars/Ingram powered ’55’ also has wins this season at Dog Hollow Speedway and Sharon Speedway. The victory at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio took place during a FASTRAK Northeast Touring Series event; Martin traveled the series full-time during the first-half of the 2012 season.
