Austintown, Ohio – 7/11/12} Justin Whitesell will look to score his second ‘Outlaw Sprint Warrior’ victory of the 2012 season this Saturday evening, July 14th, at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. The Austintown, Ohio native, also known as ‘The Man From Austintown, has two total ‘Outlaw Sprint Warrior’ victories at the Mercer oval thus far in his young career, and currently sits fifth in the ‘Outlaw Sprint Warrior’ – Mecer Raceway Park track standings. Whitesell lead the point’s race at Mercer Raceway Park earlier this season, but mechanical failure during a double-points night format knocked the ’17’ out of the championship lead. Engine trouble sidelined the familiar FullyInjected.com team for one full evening of competition. The former AMA motocross star, and limited sprint car competitor, sits 181 points out of the top spot in the MRP point’s race; Joe McEwen holds down the top spot.
“We are looking to get things rolling this weekend” said Whitesell when discussing the upcoming weekend at Mercer Raceway Park, “We need to get back to the front and work at chipping away that points lead!”
Justin Whitesell will continue to race at Mercer Raceway Park on Saturday nights for the remainder of the 2012 season, with intentions to race at two other local ovals later this season. Whitesell will compete in the 305 sprint car event at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania on Friday night, August 31st. The familiar Superior Tank and Trailer/FullyInjected.com ’17’ will then return to Lernerville Speedway for the 3rd Annual DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede on October 25-26-27!
