Kittanning, PA – 8-4-12] Kittanning, Pennsylvania native and Team Fully Injected supporter, Kevin Schaeffer, continues to put himself in positions that make it almost impossible for anybody to steal the top spot in the Lernerville Speedway – Ti22 Performance sprint car track championship standings. The three-time Lernerville Speedway track champion, in consecutive years from 2006-2008, is on the right track towards claiming his fourth and final Lernerville Speedway track championship. The Western Pennsylvania native plans to retire at the conclusion of the 2012 season; turning his focus from racing to spending time with his family.

‘Kool’ Kevin Schaeffer continued to prove last night (August 3rd) that his consistency has not been a fluke, as the familiar Schaeffer Tire sponsored no. 9 finished second in the 25 lap sprint car main event at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. Schaeffer has only finished outside of the top 5 once at Lernerville Speedway in 2012. The former Sharon Speedway track champion has one win at the Sarver, PA oval this year; coming during the opening night of competition. Jack Sodeman Jr. was last night’s winner at Lernerville.

Coming into last night’s event, Schaeffer had an eight (8) point margin over fellow former Lernerville Speedway three-time track champion, Rod George. George finished sixth in last night’s Lernerville Speedway sprint car main event, allowing Schaeffer’s second place finish to be sufficient enough to build a larger point’s gap. Only three point nights remain on the 2012 Lernerville Speedway schedule.
