MYERSTOWN, Pa. (August 13, 2019) – It was a successful week for the ‘Myerstown Missile’ Brent Marks, not only representing his Pennsylvania fanbase well during the 59th running of the coveted Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway, but doing so by qualifying for Saturday’s $150,000-to-win finale, eventually ending his evening by finishing 17th during the final 50-lapper.
The third-year Outlaw earned his way into the Saturday night blockbuster by finishing sixth during his respective preliminary A-Main; a sixth place performance after starting in the exact same position.
“What a week. I can’t say enough about this team and what we were able to accomplish at Knoxville Raceway. The Knoxville Nationals is the greatest spectacle of our sport and to say we qualified for the finale out of over 100 entries says so much about us and our potential. It’s a very exciting time,” Brent Marks said, driver of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/No. 19 sprint car. “Our goal is to put our Knoxville Nationals momentum to good use and earn some solid finishes this weekend in North Dakota.”
Brent Marks will continue his 2019 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with a pair of stops in North Dakota, first visiting River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks on Friday, August 16, followed by a stop at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo on Saturday, August 17.
Marks will enter the weekend tenth in the current World of Outlaws standings, still hunting his first victory of the 2019 season.
