FOREST, Ohio (October 7, 2019) – Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports could not have written a more perfect ending to their Saturday night venture to Atomic Speedway in Chillicothe, Ohio. Not only did the Forest, Ohio-based racing operation capture the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS) main event, but they sealed their BOSS title fate in the process. Impressive enough, the championship was accomplished during Westfall’s first-ever attempt as a full-time BOSS traveler.

Including his recent Atomic triumph, Westfall, driver of the Ray Marshall-owned/Ray Marshall Motorsports/Buckeye Machine Fabricators, Inc./Crazy Lady Restaurant and Bar/Hempy Water/DPI Ink/No. 33M sprint car, earned four BOSS victories during his 2019 championship campaign, the first also accomplished at Atomic Speedway on April 13. Westfall’s other BOSS wins took shape at Fremont Speedway on July 13, as well as at Kokomo Speedway on August 24.

In addition to his BOSS victories, Westfall and Ray Marshall earned 2019 victory lane appearances at Limaland Motorsports Park and Gas City Speedway, both of which earned during ‘weekly’ action.

“What a dream season. I couldn’t be more proud,” Ray Marshall explained. “This team works very hard and the hard work certainly paid off. I hope for the successes to continue long into the future.”

Despite the championship concluded, Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports still have one BOSS event remaining on their 2019 schedule, that being the second running of the Bob Hampshire Classic at Waynesfield Raceway Park on Saturday, October 12.

“I can’t thank Ray Marshall and this entire team enough for their support in 2019. The only thing we can do now is go out and win at Waynesfield. That would definitely put an exclamation mark on our season,” Matt Westfall said. “It was a long season, but the wins and championship make up for the long miles and long nights.”
