FOREST, Ohio (September 8, 2020) – A common trend, to say the least, Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports put together another impressive display during the recent weekend, this time while at speed at Gas City I-69 Speedway in Gas City, Indiana, on Friday, September 4. To no surprise, the Forest, Ohio-based, non-wing sprint car operation put on a passing exhibition, eventually capping the evening with a rally from 11th to finish third.

Westfall, driver of the Ray Marshall-owned/Ray Marshall Motorsports/Buckeye Machine Fabricators, Inc./Hempy Water/DPI Ink/No. 33M sprint car, now owns two consecutive podium results in the Hoosier State, first winning a BOSS main event during Smackdown festivities at Kokomo on August 29, followed by his third-place finish at Gas City on Friday, September 4.

“It’s been a pretty solid year for us at Gas City. I think we have the potential to win a few more races this year, but to be in the hunt every week says a lot,” Westfall said, the 2019 BOSS Series champion. “I can’t say enough about this team, especially Ray Marshall. He gives us the opportunity to go out and race while also making sure the team is equipped with the means to be competitive, and above all, win races. We still have some time left on the clock this year. We’re going to do what we can to get Ray a few more trips to victory lane.”

Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports will continue their 2020 campaign with a return to Gas City on Friday, September 11, all before joining USAC at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville on Saturday, September 12.
