Jason Meyers came out on top tonight with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series; winning the $8,000, 25 lap National Open preliminary feature at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The Morgan Hughes National Open preliminary event drew 53 sprint cars; with a few more expected to show up tomorrow evening for the $50,000 to win finale. Daryn Pittman was the evening’s fastest qualifier. Greg Hodnett and Fred Rahmer rounded out the podium finishes.

Fully Injected’s central PA star, Cory Haas, earned a top 12 finish this evening with ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt.’ The York, Pennsylvania native, qualified 20th quick this evening out of the 53 entries for the National Open; putting the 11c on the front row of a heat race. The former 358 Lincoln Speedway Track Champion earned a runner-up finish in his respective heat race- eventually earning himself an eleventh place finish in tonight’s A-main after starting 12th. Cory and the entire 11c program will return to Williams Grove Speedway tomorrow night for an opportunity to start two consecutive World of Outlaws A-mains.
