Michael earns back-to-back top-ten finishes with OVSCA

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

FREMONT, Ohio (May 14, 2018) – Despite Mother Nature throwing a curveball at his initial plan, the “Texas Traveler” T.J. Michael made the most of his recent weekend of competition and entered a pair of Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association (OVSCA) programs in the Buckeye State on Friday and Saturday, May 11-12.

Michael, a former All Star competitor who will now focus on FAST competition full-time, joined the OVSCA at Hilltop Speedway (Millersburg, Ohio) and Wayne County Speedway, respectively, during the recent weekend, earning back-to-back top-ten finishes. The Fremont resident via Plano, Texas,  kicked-off the weekend with a charge from 11th to finish fifth at Hilltop Speedway, nearly going back-to-back in the top-five column with a seventh place finish on Saturday at Wayne County Speedway; Michael started eighth.

“It was a great weekend. Results like that will give us a lot of confidence moving forward,” Michael said, driver of the Advanced Cast Stone/Fremont Fence Company/Crown Battery/Kear’s Speed Shop/Hinchman Suits/Big D’s Pizza of Fremont and Clyde/Kistler Racing Engines/Maxim Chassis/Wood Heating & Air Conditioning/Pro Tech Service Company/Wings Unlimited/No. 8M sprint car. “We were supposed to go to Sharon on Saturday for a FAST race, but Mother Nature didn’t want to cooperate. It worked out just fine. It feels really good to knock out back-to-back top-ten finishes like that, especially after starting that deep at Hilltop. That will certainly help us build some rhythm.”

Michael’s 2018 campaign will continue with a pair of programs at Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway on Friday and Saturday, May 18-19, all kicking-off with FAST Series action at the home of “Ohio’s Finest Racing” in Attica, Ohio. The Lone Star State native will enter the evening eighth in the FAST championship chase, less than 30 points outside of the top-five.

“I can’t thank everyone enough for their hard work and support so far this season,” T.J. Michael continued. “There are a lot of people who have been behind this team since day one. I wouldn’t be in the position that I am without their dedication.”
