FREMONT, Ohio (July 27, 2020) – A perfect momentum boost before becoming reacquainted with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, the ‘Texas Traveler’ T.J. Michael put together a stout performance over the recent weekend and ended his two-day stretch in the Buckeye State with one top-ten performance, almost two-for-two in the top-ten column before mechanical failure forced Michael to retire short of the finish on Saturday.

Michael, driver of the Michael Motorsports/Advanced Architectural Stone/Crown Battery/Fremont Fence Company/Pro-Tech Services/Wood Heating and Air Conditioning/Kear’s Speed Shop/Wings Unlimited/Big D’s Pizza/No. 8M sprint car, kicked-off the recent weekend with a seventh-place finish during Attica Fremont Championship Series (AFCS) competition at Attica Raceway Park on Friday, July 24. The Plano, Texas-native secured his third-row starting position by way of heat race victory.

Well on his way to a podium outcome the following evening, Michael was battling in the third position at Wayne County Speedway on Saturday, July 25, when suspension issues forced an early retirement; a broken torsion stop was the culprit.

With redemption in mind, Michael will work to pick up right where he left off with another visit to ‘Orrville’s Historic Oval’ on Saturday evening, August 1, this time joining the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series for a $10,000 potential. To date, the largest payday of Michael’s career is $5,000.

“We’re ready and I’m excited. We felt really, really good this weekend, so the plan is to put that momentum to work on Friday and Saturday and score some big results,” T.J. Michael said, a former FAST winner and recent Outlaw starter at Attica Raceway Park. “I think we were good enough to win on Saturday at Wayne County, we just had some bad luck to hold us back. Regardless, I’m proud of this team and I’m proud to be associated with so many great partners. It takes a lot of people to make this car go around. I want to keep this going.”
