Mike Reft in the 9R – 3rd in 2011 PPMS pro late track standings

Fully Injected teammates, Mike Reft and Colton Flinner, will each kick-off their 2012 crate late model campaigns this Saturday evening, April 7th, at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Imperial, Pennsylvania. Both Western Pennsylvania natives have plenty of experience in the pro late model division at Pittsburgh’s ‘Monster Half Mile’ – with Reft finishing third in the 2011 track standings, and Flinner earning the track championship. The track title was Flinner’s first of his young career, as he looks to repeat that success in 2012.

Mike Reft will compete at Pittsburgh on a semi-regular basis in 2012 – with intentions to squeeze some travel time into his busy schedule. The 9R program plans to make several appearances at nearby FASTRAK sanctioned events in the upcoming season; hoping to gain positive momentum and valuable experience. Flinner’s 2012 season will consist of almost the same format; with plans to race at Pittsburgh often, while hitting and missing nearby FASTRAK Northeast crate late model events. But, needless to say, if either driver makes it near the top of their respective points standings, then a semi-regular appearance at the track will turn into a points chase!

The April 7th event at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway will also act as the ‘2012 Blastoff’ for the upcoming season. The facility will host five divisions on Saturday night; with the super late models and pro late/crate late models sharing the headline.
