Rod George of Kittanning, Pennsylvania finished third during the sprint car main event last night at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. The ‘410’ sprint car veteran held off late race charges by Brandon Spithaler, Eric Williams, and Kevin Schaeffer to earn the podium finish. George was third in the Lernerville  Speedway standings entering the night’s program. The Dr. John Crawford/Kelsey George Racing ‘CIII’ will return to action this evening at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania to hopefully earn his first victory of the season. 

Evan City, Pennsylvania’s Brandon Spithaler finished fourth last night during the 25 lap sprint car main event at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. The Fully Injected teammate also earned a heat race victory last night during competition. Spithaler will return to action tonight at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania to try and keep his win streak alive at the 3/8’s mile oval. The track has only seen ‘410’ sprint car competition once in the last four weeks, with Spithaler earning the victory. 

Kevin Schaeffer rallied from 10th to 6th last night during the 25 lap sprint car main event at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. The Kittanning, Pennsylvania native was racing in a top five spot until a late race restart cost him a position. Schaeffer will not be in action the rest of the weekend. The ‘soon to be’ retired driver of the familiar yellow no. ‘9’ was tied for the lead in the Lernerville Speedway sprint car point’s standings entering last night’s action. Schaeffer earned the opening night victory at Lernerville Speedway three weeks ago. 

Brandon Matus finished seventh last night at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. The Wampum, Pennsylvania native started on the front row of the 25 lap sprint car main event, but held on to finish solidly inside the top 10 on a very fast and tricky Lernerville Speedway surface. Matus is a former winner at the 4/10’s mile oval. The fourth generation driver earned his first career sprint car victory at the facility back in August of last year. Matus will return to action tonight at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania to hopefully gain some positive momentum.
