June 23, 2012 – Kittanning, Pennsylvania native and Fully Injected teammate, Rod George, will go for sprint car win #2 in the 2012 season later this evening at Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. The former Mercer Raceway Park track champion will compete for a Mid-Season Championship at the Mercer venue; with the 3/8’s mile oval also awarding double points for this evening’s ‘Saturday Night Live’ event. George finished third Friday night, June 22nd, at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania in the ‘410’ sprint car main event. The Dr. John Crawford owned ‘CIII’ entry finished just behind fellow former Lernerville Speedway track champion, Carl Bowser; and former World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series full-time competitor, Brian Ellenberger. The event last night at Lernerville Speedway was also a Mid-Season Championship; awarding the winner, Ellenberger, an automatic provisional start for the upcoming Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup!

Rod George currently finds himself just outside the top 10 in the Mercer Raceway Park ‘410’ sprint car point standings in 11th position. Recent motor troubles and DNF’s have plagued the Kelsey George Racing/Dr. John Crawford ‘CIII’ in recent competition. Tonight, George will have an opportunity to turn his season around and snag a Mid-Season Championship.
