The points titles were decided two weeks ago but that has not stopped Valencia, PA resident Alex Ferree from continuing his winning ways in Diehl of Robinson Super Late Model action. The newly crowned divisional champion scored his fourth win of the season last Saturday in another dominating performance. Others expected to vie for the win this week include 2012 champion Michael Norris, Jared Miley, Brandon Burgoon and veterans Jim Stephans, Lynn Geisler and Steve Baker.

Much like Ferree, Tommy Schirnhofer has been the dominating force in the Precise Racing Products RUSH Pro-Late Model Division. Schirnhofer has scored three consecutive victories and will be looking for number four this weekend. Newly crowned divisional champion Kyle Lukon was not in action last week, but the Duquesne University graduate, who has five victories this season, is expected to return. Kyle’s sister, Laura, has one feature win in 2013 and is also a favorite to claim this Saturday’s main event.

The Sunoco Race Fuels Late Model Sportsman action is also heating up as we approach the end of the 2013 season. Nick Kocuba claimed the 2013 title and had two victories to his credit. Other drivers with multiple wins include Jeff Broniszewski, Brian Huchko, Bill Robertson and Vince Laboon. Teenagers Todd Weldon, Ricky Steigerwald and Christian Schneider have joined the class for the second half of the season and are giving the veterans a “run for their money.”

In Miley BP Carwash Hobby Stock action Dan Black has claimed the last two main events. Black has improved greatly as the season has progressed and will be looking for victory number three this Saturday. Lady racer Hannah Ramsey scored a very popular win on August 31st and the California University student will battle drivers such as Black, Chase Evans, Steve Pyeritz and Ed and Jon Wiser in this week’s main event.
