ST. HELENA, Calif. (September 10, 2019) – It was a long four days at Chico, California’s Silver Dollar Speedway, but despite the hard work and long hours, Rico Abreu and Rico Abreu/Curb Agajanian Racing left the Northern California venue with a pair of top-ten finishes in their pocket, highlighting all starts with a sixth place run during 360 main event action on Wednesday, September 4.

In addition, Abreu, driver of the Rico Abreu/Curb Agajanian Racing/Abreu Vineyards/Curb Records/Golden State Restaurant Group/Lucas Oil Products/Southern Pacific Farms/Priority Aviation/Dancer Logistics/Self Made Racing/Dewalt Tools/MAC Tools/No. 24 sprint car, finished seventh during 360 competition on Thursday, September 5, bumping ahead two spots after starting on the inside of row five.

Three-sixty sprint car competition transitioned into World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series competition at Silver Dollar Speedway on Friday and Saturday, September 6 & 7. Certainly no stranger to the Greatest Show On Dirt, Abreu qualified for each of the Gold Cup main events contested at Silver Dollar, finishing 18th and 12th, respectively. Abreu’s 12th place outcome was the product of row nine.

“It was a long week, for sure, but I’m proud of my team and I’m proud of the things we were able to do. It’s never easy prepping for four days of racing, but they stood tough and worked as hard as they could,” Rico Abreu said, who owns five sprint car victories this season. “We have another long week ahead. I’m ready to get back at it.”

Rico Abreu will continue his 2019 campaign with a trio of World of Outlaws starts in four days, first visiting Placerville Speedway in Placerville, California, on Wednesday, September 11. Action will continue on Friday and Saturday, September 13 & 14, with starts at Stockton Dirt Track and Calistoga Speedway, respectively. Abreu is a former winner at Placerville, Calistoga, as well as Stockton, most recently claiming the Louie Vermeil Classic finale at Calistoga Speedway on September 1.
