T.J. Michael Ends Ohio Sprint Speedweek Debut Eleventh in Final Standings,
Will Continue Arctic Cat All Star Campaign with Michigan Doubleheader

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

FREMONT, Ohio (June 27, 2016) – After taking part in one of sprint car racing’s most grueling traditions, entering eight Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions events at eight different dirt ovals in nine days, the “Texas Traveler” T.J. Michael returned to his Fremont, Ohio, race shop with a lot to be proud of. The Arctic Cat All Star rookie contender finished eleventh in the final Ohio Sprint Speedweek presented by Cometic Gasket point standings, highlighted with a sixth place performance at Limaland Motorsports Park on Friday, June 24. The Plano, Texas, native also earned a MSD Hard Charger Award during his Ohio Sprint Speedweek campaign, charging 13 positions at Millstream Speedway on Sunday, June 19.

“We had a great week. I couldn’t be happier with how things unfolded for us,” said T.J. Michael. “It was our first time ever attempting something like that. It was definitely tough, but really rewarding. To be that competitive every night against 40-50 cars says a lot about this team where we are headed as a team. I’m excited for the rest of the year. I see big things happening for us.”

T.J. Michael will not have much time to relax as Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions competition is set to resume on Saturday and Sunday, July 2-3, with back-to-back programs in Michigan. Michael, pilot of the MJ Webb Enterprises, Advanced Cast Stone, Fremont Fence Company, Kear’s Speed Shop, Shell Shock, Hinchman Suits, Snap-On, Kistler Racing Engines, No. 8M, will visit Hartford Speedway in Hartford, Michigan, on Saturday, July 2, followed by a visit to the I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan, on Sunday, July 3. Each event will award $5,000 top prizes.

The “Texas Traveler” has one prior start in the state of Michigan with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions in 2016, finishing sixth at Butler Speedway near Quincy on Saturday, June 11. Michael has four top-ten finishes in 21 main event starts with the Arctic Cat All Stars in 2016, trailing current point leader, Chad Kemenah, by 196 markers in fifth position.

“I’m ready to go,” said T.J. Michael. “We’re having a lot of fun right now. That makes things much, much easier on us mentally and physically. There isn’t a lot of pressure on us right now either. We know what we are up against and that doesn’t bother us. We race as hard as we can every night. It’s been an amazing experience.”
