T.J. Michael grows anxious for first ever Short Track Nationals appearance,
Concludes Arctic Cat All Star season seventh in final standings

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

FREMONT, Ohio (October 25, 2016) – For the first time in his young career, the “Texas Traveler” T.J. Michael will make a visit to the I-30 Speedway near Little Rock, Arkansas; all set for the 29th edition of the COMP Cams Short Track Nationals presented by Hoosier Tire on November 2-5. As one of the premier 360ci sprint car events in the country, the $15,000-to-win showcase will host drivers and teams from all disciplines of open wheel competition, all aiming to score the $15,000 top prize.

“This is going to be a lot of fun. I’m pretty pumped to be a part of it,” T.J. Michael explained. “At the beginning of the year, we kinda created the mindset that we would check out some different races when we didn’t have All Star commitments. I-30 Speedway always has a lot of press. It looks like an exciting place to race. They don’t call it ‘Hammer Hill’ for nothing.”

Michael recently concluded his first, full year on the road with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions, earning seven top-ten feature finishes and four MSD Performance Hard Charger awards. When the dust settled, the Plano, Texas, native found himself seventh in the overall series standings, outperforming six other full-time Arctic Cat All Star travelers. Other season highlights include finishing sixth at the Butler Speedway in Butler, Michigan, as well as sixth at the Limaland Motorsports Park during Ohio Sprint Speedweek presented by Cometic Gasket.

“This will be my first, major 360ci sprint car event,” T.J. Michael explained. “We’ve logged a lot of laps this year at a lot of different race tracks. Even though we’ve never visited I-30 Speedway, I don’t think we are at a major disadvantage. We’ve learned a lot racing on the road this year. We’ll put that knowledge to the test in Little Rock. I can’t thank everyone enough for making this happen. It wouldn’t be possible without all of my sponsors and family.”
