Team Fully Injected on top at Lernerville Speedway as of 5/21/12!
Rod George of Kittanning, Pennsylvania, with the help of Pittsburgh native and Fully Injected teammate Danny Holtgraver, now owns the top spot in the current Lernerville Speedway sprint car point standings. The former track champion was absent last Friday night due to an injury, and had Western Pennsylvania hotshoe and All-Star ‘Ohio Region’ regular Danny Holtgraver step-in and represent the CIII team. Holtgraver went on to win the Friday night ‘Fab Four’ event; leading all 25 laps of the sprint car main event.

With that victory, along with regular Friday night consistency prior to that arrangement, George now holds a three point in lead in the standings over fellow Fully Injected teammate, and Kittanning native, Kevin Schaeffer. Schaeffer has only finished outside the top five one time in 2012 at the Sarver oval; with a sixth place performance being his worst finish. Schaeffer, who owns three track championships at the facility in recent years, won Lernerville Speedway’s 2012 ‘opener’ back in late April. The familiar yellow – Schaeffer Tire no. 9 holds down second; 12 points ahead of Wampum native, and Fully Injected member, Brandon Matus in the standings!
Brandon Matus earned his first career sprint car win at the Sarver venue last August. The fourth generation driver currently sits third in the Lernerville Speedway sprint car points race, and recently earned a fourth place finish during his last start at the famous 4/10’s mile oval. Matus has been winless at the facility since his first victory last August, but plans to change that in the coming weeks. His back-to-back-to-back top 10 finishes has placed him among the most consistent drivers in the standings, and looks to be a championship contender as the season progresses!
