Sarver, PA (April 12, 2012) After a long off season, the Action will hit the Track this Saturday afternoon for the Test & Tune Practice session from 12:00 until 5:00. Gates open at 11:00 AM and fans are invited into General Admission free of charge! Cars from all divisions are invited to come shake off the rust and get ready for Opening Night 2012 next Friday, April 20!
In addition to practicing on the track, drivers can register for 2012 DIRTcar Membership and have their cars pass through tech inspection, saving valuable prep time on Opening Night!
Drivers from all divisions of Fab Four Racing have been logging laps at other area and regional tracks as we all await Opening Night 2012 at the Action Track! Early season winners include Dale Blaney (Ti22 Sprints) and Garrett Krummert (Precise Late Models) both with a pair of wins at Attica Raceway Park, Gregg Satterlee (Precise Late Models) at Hagerstown, Kevin Bolland (Diehl Mods) at Sharon Speedway, Keith Barbara (Precise Lates) at Mercer Raceway Park’s UFo Chiller Thriller, Brandon Spithaler (Ti22 Sprints) also at Mercer, and Michael Norris (Precise Lates) at Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway.
The biggest surprise of the season so far was last weekend’s unveiling of the Kelsey George Racing/Dr. John Crawford sponsored #CIII driven by future Hall of Famer Rod George. Kelsey wasn’t ready for her dad to retire and wanted to pay tribute to Dr. Crawford for his longtime support of Rod George. The resulting resurrection of the iconic #CIII Sprinter will be a thrilling reminder for fans of the Action Track of the success enjoyed by Jimmy Hawley in the late 90s and early 2000s, while giving us more time to enjoy the legacy of Rod George; fifth on the All Time Sprints wins list.
