The NDRL Adds the Emphatic Rick Eshelman as ‘Voice of the NDRL’

Phoenix, AZ (November 5, 2013) The National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) would like to announce a new member to the NDRL team as long time announcer Rick Eshelman has been pegged as the new ‘Voice of the NDRL’.

With over 38 years being involved in racing and over 35 years behind the microphone, Eshelman brings a plethora of experience to the NDRL team and will add excitement to the announcer’s booth at each and every NDRL event in 2014. ‘I wanted to be a part of something new and exciting,’ Eshelman said from his home in Phenix City, Alabama. ‘The NDRL has hit the ground running and it’s exciting to become a part of it. The NDRL has put together a stout team with a ton of experience and fresh new ideas that will no doubt help the sport and help NDRL grow into something big.’

Eshelman joins the NDRL team having announced at over 150 tracks across 30 different states during his announcing career. Rick has also announced some of the largest and most prestigious events in the history of dirt racing including the Eldora Million and Mopar Million held at the legendary Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The Dirt Late Model Dream and World 100 also held at Eldora Speedway as well as other crown jewel events such as the Dirt Track World Championship, Firecracker 100, USA Nationals and an endless list of other major late model and sprint car events.

‘I’m extremely thankful for the opportunity I have with the NDRL,’ the new ‘Voice of the NDRL’ said, ‘there is a ton of potential with the group that’s been assembled and with our experience, hard work, and dedication; it will show at each one of our events. For as many facilities I’ve announced at and states I’ve announced in, Arizona is one state I have not announced in, so I’m ready to get started at the ‘Winter Extreme’ in January.’

‘We’re very excited to bring Rick on board with us as we move forward,’ NDRL founder John Kennedy exclaimed, ‘his experience, personality, and dedication to the sport will add a lot to our team. He’s as well-known as most of the drivers in our sport and to have him as the voice of the NDRL will add that much more to our already thrilling events.’

The 2014 NDRL season will kick off at the ‘Winter Extreme’ at Tucson International Raceway on Friday, January 10, 2014 with an open practice session for NDRL and Championship Dirt Motorsports (CDM) Late Models and Modifieds. A short one day break will set up the final weekend of the 2014 ‘Winter Extreme’ as the NDRL & CDM Late Models will compete for $3,000 to-win on Friday, January 17, $5,000 to-win on Saturday, January 18, and finish with a whopping $10,000 to-win event on Sunday, January 19.
