JONESTOWN, Pa. (March 9, 2016) – The 2016 season will officially ignite for Brock Zearfoss Racing this Saturday evening, March 12, at the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania. The “Speed Palace” will open its gates for the first time this season and feature a full program for the 410 sprint cars, awarding a $3,500 top prize. Brock Zearfoss, pilot of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Meckley’s Limestone, Central Builders Supply Co., Leach’s Automotive, No. 3Z, hopes to celebrate his new season, and the track’s new season, with an appearance on the victory lane stage.
“It’s finally race week” Zearfoss explained, “Just anxious to get the year started. Feels like the last few weeks took forever, but we’re ready to go. This is an important race for us because it will set the tone for the rest of our season. Our goal is to make sure everything is right, be consistent right off of the trailer, and put ourselves in a good position to win our first night out. A win would be the ultimate way to start a season.”
During one of his most recent starts at Port Royal Speedway, the “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss earned a podium finish against the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions; finishing third officially during the Night Before The 50 main event on Friday, September 11. The podium appearance was one of three top-ten finishes against the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions in 2015.
The March 12 visit to the Juniata County Fairgrounds will go down as race number one of 2016 for BZR; kicking-off a near 90 race schedule between now and early November.
