SPRINTS HEAD FOR LAWRENCEBURG SATURDAY;
WINDOM GRABS “4-CROWN,” CLAUSON’S LEAD JUST 2!

This Saturday’s race at Lawrenceburg (Ind.) Speedway features another showdown between AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car point leaders Bryan Clauson and Dave Darland, They enter the race just two points apart after Darland finished third and Clauson fourth in Saturday night’s “4-Crown Nationals” feature at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.

Chris Windom of Canton, Ill. won Saturday’s Eldora feature in his Jam-It-In Storage/Hoosier Tire Maxim/Claxton. He only led one lap, but it was the 30th and last one after race leader Tracy Hines flipped exiting turn four on the final lap!.

Daron Clayton led the first 24 laps but he too flipped, on lap 25. Hines then led the next five laps until his misfortune.

Trailing Windom in the finish at Eldora were Jac Haudenschild, Darland, Clauson and Robert Ballou. Darland passed Clauson for third on the final lap of the race.

Five races remain in the 2013 AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car series. Following Saturday’s Lawrenceburg race are two October races at Peoria, Ariz. and two in November at Perris, Calif.
