Orrville, Ohio (February 1, 2012) In what has been a busy several months Wayne County Speedway officials has been working diligently putting the finishing touches on the preparation for 2012 racing season. Just announced for the 410 Winged Sprints is a purse increase to two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) to win (based on twenty car field) for weekly regular show. If twenty cars are not registered then it will revert to one thousand and five hundred dollars ($1,500.00) to win. “We got a lot of feedback about our weekly purse and while we feel its good. We think paying $2000 to win will get us in with the elite sprint car tracks in Ohio” stated General Manager Jason Flory. “Last year nearly every night we had twenty car fields in our Sprint division. We want to give back to the drivers for supporting us and putting on great shows for our fans. We think everyone will be excited for this” Flory continued.

Also announced in joint cooperation between two area race tracks is the first annual Wayne County Fremont Summer Sizzler. On Friday August 10th Wayne County Speedway will host the first leg of the inaugural event with a two thousand five hundred to win ($2,500.00), two hundred and fifty dollars ($250) to start the feature event. The purse structure for this event is modeled exactly to Fremont Speedway weekly purse. Then Saturday August 11th Fremont Speedway will host the final installment which will pay their weekly purse. As a bonus if the same team wins both nights; they will collect and additional two thousand dollars ($2,000.00). Someone has the possibility of going home with seven thousand dollars ($7,000.00) in their pocket that weekend. “We really made a push to work with area race tracks” stated Flory. “This deal here I can see people marking their calendar for this one. It is going to be big” Flory said.
