FOREST, Ohio (July 8, 2019) – Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports represented their fanbase well during the recent weekend, not only earning a seventh place finish during the highly-competitive Jack Hewitt Classic/BOSS Series program at Waynesfield Raceway Park on July 3, but also earning a tenth place finish during Knoxville Raceway’s, USAC-sanctioned Corn Belt Nationals preliminary on Friday, July 5.

It was a week to remember for Ray Marshall Motorsports and his ever-familiar ‘Bumblebee Express,’ as the Forest, Ohio-based race team solidified themselves as one of the best non-wing programs in the country.

“What a weekend. It was a lot, but we managed to get it done and it feels great. I’m proud of this team and what they were able to accomplish. We have a lot of great people who stand behind this team and they all play a huge role in our success,” Ray Marshall said, owner of the Ray Marshall Motorsports/Buckeye Machine Fabricators, Inc./Crazy Lady Restaurant and Bar/Hempy Water/DPI Ink/No. 33M entry. “Earning the front row for Friday’s Corn Belt Nationals was really special. I’m proud of Matt (Westfall). It was a great trip to Knoxville, Iowa.”

Despite just missing the top-ten during the Corn Belt Nationals finale on Saturday, July 6, Westfall wheeled the No. 33M entry to an 11th place finish. The Ray Marshall Motorsports ace started ninth on the grid Saturday evening; he started second on Friday.

Upcoming plans remain uncertain for Ray Marshall Motorsports. Tentatively, the team plans to travel to Gas City (Ind.) Speedway on Friday, July 12. Other weekend plans will be announced as they become available.

Update (7/9/2019): Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports will be joining the BOSS Series at Fremont Speedway on Saturday, July 13.
