FOREST, Ohio (August 5, 2019) – Taking advantage of an opportunity to race right down the street from Ray Marshall Motorsports headquarters worked in the team’s favor on Friday evening, ending the short jaunt to Limaland Motorsports Park in Lima, Ohio, with a visit to victory lane.

Westfall, driver of the Ray Marshall-owned, Ray Marshall Motorsports/Buckeye Machine Fabricators, Inc./Crazy Lady Restaurant and Bar/Hempy Water/DPI Ink/No. 33M non-wing sprint car, earned his third victory of the season aboard the ever-familiar ‘Bumblebee Express’ in dramatic fashion, not only charging ahead from 12th on the grid, but securing his place on top of the podium with a last lap pass.

Mike Miller was the leader, a former Limaland champion.

Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports now own victories at three different Ohio facilities in 2019; Atomic Speedway, Fremont Speedway, and Limaland Motorsports Park.

“That was fun,” Matt Westfall explained regarding his Limaland win. “I really can’t say enough about Ray Marshall and this entire team. They are so much fun to drive for. I’m enjoying every minute of this. I can’t thank him enough for this opportunity.”

“What a finish. I didn’t think we were going to get it done, but Matt [Westfall] proved me wrong. I’m happy he did prove me wrong,” Ray Marshall explained. “I’m a proud owner right now. Winning is fun and we certainly love to win.”

Up next on the schedule, Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports will return to competition on Friday and Saturday, August 9 & 10, with a Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS Series) doubleheader in Indiana and Ohio. The weekend will ignite at Gas City Speedway before wrapping up the following evening at Oakshade Raceway.

Westfall will enter the weekend with two BOSS victories on the season, the latest at Fremont Speedway on July 13.
