Zearfoss 14th during Port’s Nittany Showdown; World Finals ahead

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, Pa. (October 28, 2019) – Despite Mother Nature erasing all hope for a second try against the Greatest Show On Dirt on Saturday, October 26, the ‘Jonestown Jet’ Brock Zearfoss made the most of his visit to Port Royal Speedway during the recent weekend and finished 14th against the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series on Friday, October 25.

Zearfoss, who piloted the Ryan Linder-owned, X-1 Race Cars No. 9 during his ‘Speed Palace’ appearance, started eighth on the feature grid, earning his way into the $8,000-to-win program by winning his respective heat race. A fourth place performance during his respective dash solidified his fourth row starting position. There were over 50 entries on hand.

Saturday’s Nittany Showdown finale was eventually cancelled due to persistent rain showers.

“It was a solid night for our team. I would have liked to try again on Saturday, but that’s how it goes sometimes. We’ll get another chance soon,” Brock Zearfoss said, who owns one World of Outlaws victory during his career. “It has been a blast driving for Ryan Linder. We had a lot of speed the last few weeks and it shows. I’m excited for the opportunity to race with him again in the future.”

Brock Zeafoss will continue his 2019 sprint car campaign with a trip to The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina, on Thursday through Saturday, November 7-9. The annual World Finals will highlight action at the state-of-the-art complex compete with two, full World of Outlaws programs awarding $12,000 each. The ‘Jonestown Jet’ will enter the high profile weekend with four wins on the season, three of which during All Star Circuit of Champions competition.

In addition, Zearfoss will return to the cockpit of his own Brock Zearfoss Racing No. 3Z for the World of Outlaws season ending program.
