Zearfoss Earns Top-Five at Williams Grove; Three-Race Weekend On Deck!

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, Pa. (April 4, 2016) – The “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss has been consistently adding top-ten performances to his list of 2016 finishes, adding to that list with a mark in the top-five column on Friday night, April 1, at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg. Zearfoss, pilot of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Meckley’s Limestone, Central Builders Supply Co., Leach’s Automotive, No. 3Z, finished fourth at the world famous half-mile after starting from the pole position. Zearfoss controlled the first 13 circuits of the 25-lap main event; a second consecutive occurrence for the pilot of the familiar “3Z.” It was his first top-five finish of the 2016 season.

“We’ve been close the last two weeks, but I know our time will come soon,” explained Brock Zearfoss about leading at Williams Grove Speedway. “I can’t thank my team enough for the hard work and time they put in. It’s easy to get frustrated when you find yourself close to getting that first win. Not my guys; they work hard every day and keep pushing. We had a great car on Friday night at The Grove. We just got a little too tight and that hurt us. Nonetheless, we are in the hunt and that’s motivating.”

Brock Zearfoss was on his way to a second consecutive top-five finish on the weekend, and a third consecutive top-ten finish at Port Royal Speedway, when bad luck struck the Jonestown, Pennsylvania, native. While racing inside the top-five during the Port Royal Speedway main event on Saturday, April 2, Zearfoss cut a tire, ultimately forcing the “Jonestown Jet” to restart at the tail of the field. Zearfoss battled back and recovered to finish 13th in the running order.

Up next on the schedule is a loaded, three-race weekend in Central Pennsylvania. Brock Zearfoss will enter competition on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 8-10; entering events at Williams Grove Speedway, Port Royal Speedway and the newly updated Susquehanna Speedway. All three nights will feature full programs for the 410 sprint cars, with Susquehanna Speedway hosting their first 410 sprint car event of the 2016 season.

“We have a big weekend ahead of us, but we’ll be ready to go,” said Brock Zearfoss. “Friday and Saturday will be routine stops for us, but we are most excited for Sunday. The new promoter of Susquehanna Speedway has been working hard since last off-season. We are excited to get back there and see all of the changes. We’ll do our best to come out on top on all three nights.”
