Zearfoss Qualifies for Night One of Summer Nationals, Routine Stops Ahead

JONESTOWN, PA (July 25, 2016) – The “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss joined the best in the business for two days during the recent weekend, entering the Champion Racing Oil Summer Nationals at Williams Grove Speedway with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series. When the weekend concluded, Zearfoss qualified for one of the two Summer Nationals main events, finishing 16th on Friday night, July 22, after starting 19th on the grid. Zearfoss finished fifth during his respective heat race to automatically qualify for the $8,000-to-win program.
“Not too bad of a weekend,” explained Zearfoss. “We were ‘OK’ for the most part, just not where we wanted to be. I think we had the potential to qualify on both nights. Qualifying means so much with the Outlaws. If you’re off the slightest, you could lose your entire night. Regardless, I’m proud of my team. They keep pushing and never give up. We’ll work to improve when we get back to the track this weekend.”
Zearfoss, pilot of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Meckley’s Limestone, Central Builders Supply Co., Berkebile Oil Company, No. 3Z, will return to a routine weekend schedule this Friday and Saturday, July 29-30, with plans to visit Williams Grove Speedway and Port Royal Speedway. The Jonestown, Pennsylvania, native has been competitive at both Central Pennsylvania ovals in 2016; earning one main event win at Williams Grove Speedway and ten top-ten finishes at Port Royal Speedway.
Zearfoss will enter the Port Royal “Speed Palace” gates currently fourth in the championship chase, 255 points outside of the top spot.
