Mercer, PA (September 17, 2013): It seems like only yesterday that the 2013 racing season was starting at Mercer Raceway Park, but now the final events are upon us. On Friday and Saturday, September 20 and 21, the speedway will conduct the 14th Annual Little Guy Nationals. This extravaganza of speed will highlight the support classes in two complete shows made possible with the help of American Racer Tires.

The Approved Toilet Rentals 358 Modifieds will top the card on both nights. They will race 25 laps for $1,000 on Friday. By racing just five more laps on Saturday, the winner will get double the money! Frankie Guidace, the 2013 divisional champion, will try to put an exclamation mark on his outstanding season. However, several New York invaders are expected to challenge for the top honors. Will any of the region’s Big Block stars swap powerplants to try their luck?

The Precise Racing Products Stock Cars will operate under the Open Stock Rules. That means that top competitors from throughout the region will be eligible to race against the three-time champion, Rusty Moore, and company. Friday’s race will go for 20 laps and will pay $500 to the winner. Saturday’s program boasts three, count ‘em, three features for the full-fendered crowd. The first feature will pay $1,500 to the winner, while the second feature will pay $1,000. The third one will pay $300.

Sprint Car fans will see the Bonnell’s Collision Center Outlaw Sprint Warriors take to the track for their final rounds of the 2013 season. Michael Bauer captured his first championship in a contest with Jimmy Morris that went right to the wire! Will they have to fight off some of the Western Ohio 305 Sprint stars, too? Friday the winner will earn $500, with $700 on the line on Saturday.

The touring drivers of Bilstein STARS Modifed Lite Series will invade the Park to take on the Big Daddy’s Speed Center and Rock Concrete regulars. Shane Pfeuffer celebrated his first point championship, and he would like to take home the last two wins before he moves on to races with the Outlaw Sprint Warriors in 2014. He could earn $500 on Friday and twice as much on Saturday.

The Mini Stocks will again be presented by Eperthener’s Auto Wrecking and Ray’s Racing Collectibles. Jamey Lee will try to add to his championship laurels. Friday’s go will pay $150, with an extra $50 added to the kittey on Saturday.

The e-Mods and Micro Sprints are back on the LGN docket, as well. Banner fields are expected for both classes.

The pit gates will open at 3 p.m. Friday, with spectator gates opening an hour later. Practice will start at 6:15 and racing at 7. On Saturday, the pit gates will open at noon, with spectator gates opening at 1 p.m. Practice is set for 3 p.m. and racing at 4.
