FULL 2014 SCHEDULE RELEASED

ABBOTTSTOWN, PA – An action-packed 2014 racing schedule at Lincoln Speedway has become even bigger with the announcement of a $20,000-to-win sprint car event slated for on Saturday, September 27th.

This 410 sprint car race will pay the largest first-place payoff in the speedway’s 62-year history.

The inaugural “Dirt Classic presented by Kasey Kahne” will be a fantastic way to cap the 2014 racing season, which will also include two World of Outlaws shows. More details on the “Dirt Classic” will be forthcoming, as planning for one of the biggest races ever at Lincoln Speedway continues.

Lincoln’s 2014 season will begin on Saturday afternoon, February 22nd with the running of the “Icebreaker 30” for sprint cars. Three additional Saturday afternoon sprint car racing programs will be scheduled before switching to Saturday evening racing. There will be two World of Outlaws shows at Lincoln this season.

The first will be on Wednesday, May 14th. Like the past two years, that program carries a rain date of the following night (Thursday, May 15th).

An encore event is scheduled for Thursday, July 17th, and will pay $10,000 to win. Because it will be run the night before Williams Grove’s Summer Nationals, there will be no rain date for the July 17th show.

The 2014 WoO season will be a special one for sprint car fans everywhere, with the announcement that the upcoming campaign will be Steve Kinser’s final season chasing the WoO STP Sprint Car Series championship. Kinser fans will want to catch the “Salute to the King Tour,” as the 20-time WoO champ makes what will likely be his final appearances in the Pigeon Hills.
