Fremont, Ohio (September 6th) – The 2014 Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.) Championship Series season has finally come to a close, with two former series champions earning second titles in dramatic fashion. Both F.A.S.T. divisions, including the Kistler Racing Products Fremont/Attica Sprint Title Championship Series presented by KS Sales & Service and the JLH General Contractors Fremont/Attica Sprint Title ‘305’ Championship Series presented by Engine Pro, shared the center stage for a dual finale on Saturday evening, September 6th at the Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio. In what most would consider to be ‘dramatic fashion,’ Fremont Speedway fans witnessed Byron Reed and Nate Dussel each earn championships during ‘too close to call’ situations; with both point races finally determined at the end of each A-main finale.

Although Dean Jacobs would come out on top during the last F.A.S.T. ‘410’ Championship Series A-main of the 2014 season, leading all 30-laps to secure his first F.A.S.T. win of the year, it was Byron Reed who exited the speedway on Saturday, September 6th as the 2014 F.A.S.T. ‘410’ Championship Series champion. Reed, who entered the finale second in the championship standings, took advantage of a Chris Andrews misfortune during A-main competition, and captured the $10,000-to-win F.A.S.T. title. Andrews entered action on September 6th as the F.A.S.T. point leader, but was scored 19th during the season’s final A-main due to mechanical failure. Reed’s third place finish on September 6th was valuable enough to overcome Andrews’ 23 point lead. For Reed, it was a second-career F.A.S.T. ‘410’ Championship Series title. Dean Jacobs was the victor on Saturday night at Fremont; followed by Cap Henry, Byron Reed, Chad Kemenah and D.J. Foos.

Byron Reed’s 2014 F.A.S.T. ‘410’ Championship Series title came without a win. The Ohio veteran was winless during F.A.S.T. competition in 2014, but managed to use overwhelming consistency to secure a second title. Despite being scored 19th on Saturday during the F.A.S.T. finale at Fremont Speedway, Chris Andrews still found himself second in the final F.A.S.T. standings, trailing Byron Reed by fourteen markers. Andrews, a two-time F.A.S.T. main event winner in 2014, was followed by Caleb Griffith, Brian Lay and Dean Andrews in the final championship rankings. Like Chris Andrews, Brian Lay was a two-time F.A.S.T. feature winner in 2014.

Nate Dussel, the only two-time F.A.S.T. ‘305’ main event winner this season, could not have ended his 2014 F.A.S.T. ‘305’ Championship Series campaign in any better fashion. Dussel, who was the defending JLH General Contractors Fremont/Attica Sprint Title ‘305’ Championship Series presented by Engine Pro champion, earned his second consecutive title by way of winning the F.A.S.T. ‘305’ finale on September 6th. The F.A.S.T. ‘305’ standings heading into the season’s final program were beyond close, with the top four drivers separated by a mere twelve points. Nate Dussel didn’t allow for any question or controversy; winning the finale and clinching the $2,000 title. Following Dussel in the feature rundown on Saturday night were John Ivy, Paul Weaver, Jordan Ryan and Dustin Dinan.  John Ivy finished second in the final F.A.S.T. ‘305’ Championship Series standings; followed by Jordan Ryan, Steve Rando and Dustin Dinan.

The entire FAST On Dirt, Inc. staff would like to send out a sincere ‘Thank You’ to all of the drivers and teams who supported this year’s Fremont/Attica Sprint Title program. FAST On Dirt, Inc. would also like to thank all of their sponsors and supporters, new and continuing, for their support throughout the entire 2014 season.
