Fremont, OH (September 1st, 2014) – The 2014 Fremont/Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.) championship will officially come to a close next Saturday evening, September 6th at the Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio. The F.A.S.T. organization will crown two F.A.S.T. champions on September 6th; as well as properly sketch two more names into the Fremont/Attica Sprint Title history books. The 2014 Kistler Racing Products Fremont/Attica Sprint Title Championship Series presented by KS Sales & Service champion will earn a healthy $10,000 top prize; with the 2014 JLH General Contractors Fremont/Attica Sprint Title ‘305’ Championship Series presented by Engine Pro champion also earning a healthy championship prize equalling $2,000. Each F.A.S.T. championship has yet to be determined; with both point races still ‘too close to call.’

Heading into the final event of the season, it is Chris Andrews holding down the top spot in the current F.A.S.T. ‘410’ Championship Series point race by 23 markers. Andrews, a two-time F.A.S.T. winner in 2014, leads with 1826 points over Byron Reed who has 1803 points. Although Byron Reed has yet to earn a F.A.S.T. main event victory during the 2014 season, his consistency has kept him well within championship reach. Caleb Griffith, a fellow two-time F.A.S.T. main event winner in 2014, finds himself third in the series standings heading into the September 6th finale with 1769 points. Brian Lay and Travis Philo round out the top-five in the current championship chase. Brian Lay has accumulated 1732 points thus far in 2014, with Travis Philo earning 1601 points. Lay joins Andrews and Griffith as a two-time F.A.S.T. main event winner in 2014. Craig Mintz, the defending F.A.S.T. ‘410’ Championship Series titlist, also owns two wins with the series this season. The Gibsonburg, Ohio native currently finds himself 11th in the championship standings despite missing nearly a month of action due to injury. Cap Henry is the most recent F.A.S.T. ‘410’ Championship Series feature winner; earning the F.A.S.T. ‘410’ Night #16 victory on Friday evening, August 1st at the Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio.

Although the F.A.S.T. ‘410’ Championship Series point race proves to be close and undetermined, it is the F.A.S.T. ‘305’ Championship Series point race that stretches beyond the point of ‘too close to call.’ The top four drivers in the current F.A.S.T. ‘305’ Championship Series point hunt stand within 12 points of each other heading into the September 6th finale at Fremont Speedway. Nate Dussel, the defending JLH General Contractors Fremont/Attica Sprint Title ‘305’ Championship Series presented by Engine Pro champion, leads the charge heading into the ‘Fremont Finale’ with 1076 points and one victory; just five points ahead of one-time winner in 2014, John Ivy. Ivy holds down second with 1071 points; followed by Steve Rando with 1065, Jordan Ryan with 1064 points, and Dustin Dinan with 1035 points. Paul Weaver is the most recent winner during F.A.S.T. ‘305’ Championship Series competition; picking up the F.A.S.T. ‘305’ Night #9 victory at the Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio on Friday, August 1st.

The 2014 Fremont/Attica Sprint Title Awards Banquet will be held on Saturday, November 1st at the Fremont, Ohio American Legion. This championship celebration is open to drivers, teams, fans and sponsors. More information will be posted in the near future.
