$2,500-to-win ULMS Late Models headline Diehl Automotive Night

UEMS Mods & Pic-A-Part Sportsman also on Friday, July 19 card
Makayla Guidace to pass the torch to new trophy girl

Sarver, PA (July 18, 2013) Fresh off an amazing night of “The Greatest Show on Dirt” during the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup Twin 30s, the Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Late Models will return to center stage this Friday, July 19 to play host to the ULMS Late Model Series on Diehl Automotive Night.  The 30-lap, $2,500-to-win ULMS Late Model feature will follow group qualifying, heats and if necessary a B-main, but will not be subject to Budweiser points.  The UEMS Modifieds will run a 25-lap, $1,000-to-win A-Main, but their heats will be set by pill draw.

2010-2011 Late Model Track Champion Dave Hess Jr. will be looking for a Diehl Double by winning both the ULMS Late Model and UEMS Modified feature. He has won multiple features in each division at the Action Track, but never both on the same night.  With $2,500 on the line, Hess should have a stout field of competitors in the Late Models and the E-Mods always come well represented!

Despite the special event, Fab Four Pricing will be in effect; $14 for adult general admission, $10 for seniors, $7 for students 11-17 years old and, as always, kids 10 & under will be admitted FREE!  Pit passes are $20 for DIRTcar members and $30 for non-members.  Gates open at 5:00, Racing starts at 7:30 sharp!

Friday Night’s card will also include Round 10 of the 2013 Budweiser Title hunt between AJ Flick and Corey McPherson in the Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar Sportsman.  Flick and McPherson have split the last five features two to three in favor of McPherson, but sit tied in points entering Friday Night.  Bob Egley and Mike Miller are the only drivers to score feature wins this season.  Jim Fosnaught and Joe Kelley have been knocking on the door to Sheetz Victory Lane the past few weeks, but both will be looking for their first win of 2013 when the green flag drops.

Rich Grossman and our friends from the Diehl Auto Group will be on hand for their annual “Night at the Races” and a parade of cars including the Diehl Ram Safety Truck.  Diehl Auto Group is also the division sponsor of the DIRTcar Northeast Modifieds; which will not be in competition this Friday Night.

Fab Four Racing will return next Friday, July 26 in full force for the stretch run to the 2013 Budweiser Track Championships.  July 26 is Turner Dairy Night and GBG Night.  The Turner’s Premium Iced Tea Bird, which paced the dash of Tuesday Night’s Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup, will be back for sampling pre-race and to turn some more laps on the Action Track.  Fab Four Racing will continue every Friday Night in August through Championship Night on Friday, August 30th to kick off Labor Day weekend.  Brandon Spithaler (Peoples TWP Sprints), John Garvin Jr. (Precise Lates) and Mat Williamson (Diehl Mods) lead the respective divisions in Budweiser Points.

Friday Night will also mark the debut of Lernerville Speedway’s new Trophy Girl, Ms. Lernerville 2013 Mindy Norris.  Outgoing Ms. Firecracker 2012 Makayla Guidace will pass the torch to her replacement and will be greatly missed as she has been a wonderful representative of Lernerville speedway.  Mindy is the sister of Precise Late Model star Michael Norris and will do a great job filling the shoes of Makayla Guidace, as well as Samantha McCollough, Laiken Anderson and Mandy Golec before her.  Caitlin Chaffman and Kaylee Polena have also served as interim and “Junior Miss” trophy girls.
