Can’t get enough 3 and 4 wide ‘bullring’ action?  Come get your fix this Labor Day weekend at the Tyler County Speedway for the 3rd Annual Black Diamond 125, Thursday-Saturday, Aug. 30-Sept. 1.  Over 250 cars will jam the pits, over 350 feature laps will be logged, over $180,000 will be doled out over the three day span that makes up the raciest event in motorsports and the can’t miss speed spectacular of the summer.

The Tyler County Speedway is known for its hardcore elbows up style of competition that has race fans on the edge of their seats as the nations best racers routinely go 3 and 4 wide at breathtaking speeds….if you sat any closer to the speedway lap belts would be a requirement!  Nicknamed the ‘bullring’ by its diehard fan base, it is an appropriate arena and one of the last remaining speedways that give the average ‘Joe’ racer a shot against the sports goliaths.

All the while the Black Diamond 125 showcases the best format in motorsports, as the field is split into two groups and two separate shows of qualifying, heats, conys and dual $10,000 to win 40 lap features with the top 10 from each advancing into the nights main attraction the 45 lap $20,000 to win Black Diamond 125 “Talented Twenty” shootout.

As the buzz continues to grow heading into the 2012 edition of the sports ‘coolest crown jewel’ with the return of the World of Outlaw Late Model Series with the running of the 3rd Annual Black Diamond 125, the regions best racers are looking to break the bank once again in all out Mountain State assault of action.  With over $150,000 set aside for Super late model teams, four super late model features, one $8,000 to win UFo feature, two $10,000 to win features, one $20,000 to win main event, with $38,000 possible for one driver to win, and forty eight drivers leaving with at least $1,000 bucks, plus twenty drivers will walk away with $2,000 and any late model team that races two days and doesn’t make a feature gets a cool $250 and oh by the way there is no entry fee if pre entered!  Call 304-771-5661 to register a race team.

Circle Track Management Group will welcome visitors to the Mountain State to witness not only the powerful super late model division running for unprecedented riches but the other divisions will parlay their talents leading up to the historic Black Diamond 125.

The EDGE Crate Late Models will set the stage on and open up the weekend with a Thursday, Aug. 30thnight one special as some of the best young talent in racing will compete in the $2,000 to win ‘Adrenalin Tour’.  The EDGE Crate Late Models feature 604 crate engines and are shod with American Racer tires and will see the likes of young Daniel Hill, Kyle Thomas, Danny Thomas, Chad Green, Kris Southern, Shawn Jett, Jacob Lash, Derek Rogers among several others wage war on the high banks of the ‘bullring’.

A double header of Renegades of Dirt Modified action will take to the track on Thursday and Friday Night in complete $1,500 to win shows.  The 1st season of the Renegade tour has featured the best open wheel shoes in the biz competing nightly, from Bart Hartman, Rick Aukland, Bobby Kitchens, Deana Groves, Lance Elson, Mark and Travis Dickson, Jess Hartman, Jesse Wisecarver, Kyle Strickler among many other standout mod racers will be present seeking Black Diamond gold.

The ‘Pat Herrick Memorial’ for Herrington-Yoak ModLites will be hotly contested among Bill Bauer’s Bilstein Modified Lite STARS Series, as the mighty ModLites roll into town for two nights of complete shows featuring an outstanding $1,000 first prize to the winner each night.  As an added bonus, if a driver win’s both nights Edge Entertainment Group will pay a $1000 bonus to the winning driver providing the winning driving agrees to start on the tail of the second night feature.

The Bilstein Modified Lite STARS Championship Series is entering its sixth year of operations. The non-profit organization gives modified lites community in the United States and Canada the opportunity to compete for enhanced purse and an annual point fund.  The Bilstein Modified Lite STARS International Championship Tour represents an aggressively growing segment of motor sports’ racing and is recognized as the leader in modified lite racing. The fastest growing class in the Ohio Valley, the TSMA Hotmod division will square off in complete shows on Thursday and Friday as well paying $400 to win each.  The Hotmod division has seen unparalleled growth in 2012 with approximately sixteen new racers hitting the track alone and has created a very competitive playing field while still managing to race economically.

Just added to the program will be the Outlaw 4 Cylinders paying $500 to win as the areas 4 bangers are invited to participate in a rare appearance at the ‘bullring’.  What better way to show off you skills than in front of the big crowd at the ‘Black Diamond’. A Thursday night show consisting of heat races and consolation event will culminate into Friday Night’s $500 1st place battle royal.
