7th Annual URC 358/360 Sprint Nationals At Williams Grove This Week

Mechanicsburg – The 7th annual URC Rislone 358/360 Sprint Nationals come to Williams Grove Speedway this Friday, August 3 at 7:30 pm.
An outstanding field of 358/360 sprint cars is expected to compete with the URC 360 sprint regulars and Williams Grove 358 sprints slated to contend in the nationals along with the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprint cars.
The Williams Grove Saturday Series is in action at the track on Saturday, August 4 with a program of super sportsman, 358 late models and street stocks at 6:30 pm.
The URC Rislone Nationals will pay $4,000 to win the 25-lap affair with a field that will be set via heat races and a total purse surpassing $20,000.
There will be no time trials.
Lance Dewease is the defending winner of the Rislone URC Nationals with previous winners including Daryn Pittman, 2010; Aaron Ott, 2009; Kenny Adams, 2008; Ed Aiken, 2007; and Pat Cannon, 2006.
The URC program will be the first of the season at the track after losing a previous engagement to rain.
Mark Smith, Dewease and Pittman won URC sanctioned events at Williams Grove in 2011.
The Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprints will race in a regular program including heats and a 25-lap feature paying at least $3,600 to win with bonus and lap money in effect.
Greg Hodnett leads Lance Dewease in the chase for the 2012 Lawrence Chevrolet Williams Grove point title as the season heads into the homestretch.
