Jason Johnson will be in competition this weekend in Cottage Grove, Oregon with the ASCS National Tour – Rick Rarer Photo
Fully Injected is pleased to release its 4th and final T-shirt of summer 2011. To all those who are interested, they will be available this Friday for purchase and will continue to be available, a long with the rest of the FI line, for the remainder of the summer. Expect new hooded and long sleeve shirts to be introduced this fall! Thanks for all of the support!
Coast to coast, this weekend offers some high flying, winged, open wheel action- with big paying events on the east and west coasts!
The World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series will be visiting the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania this Friday and Saturday evening for the annual Summer Nationals. Jason Meyers currently leads the WoO points standings going into the weekend’s double header event – after having a fairly successful night at the Lernerville Speedway last night. Four time series champion, Donny Schatz, along with Steve Kinser, Criag Dollansky, and Joey Saldana, round out the top 5 in the championship points standings. With Saldana out due to an injury, Brad Sweet has taken over full time duties of the Redbull, Kasey Kahne Racing, #9; until The Brownsburg Bullet is able to return behind the wheel. The Summer Nationals finale on Saturday evening will pay a dandy $20,000 to the winner. Last year, it was all Pennsylvania Posse as Lance Dewease and Greg Hodnett would make it a PA Posse 2010 Summer Nationals sweep; with Dewease winning Friday and Hodnett winning Saturday’s finale.
The ASCS National Tour will be back in action this weekend; hopefully. Last weekend’s two day scheduled event at Gray Harbor, Washington, was swept under the rug due to continuing rain and wet conditions. The premiere national 360ci series in the country will now try and compete at the Cottage Grove Speedway in Oregon this weekend for the Cottage Grove Sprint Car Nationals. Brady Bacon is the defending event winner. Shane Stewart continues to lead the national points standings coming into this weekend’s event. The ASCS National Tour hasn’t been in competition since June 11th.
Other notes that I would like to mention: FAST action returns to competition this weekend at Attica and Fremont in northwest Ohio. Dean Jacobs currently leads the FAST points standings over Bryon Reed and Bryan Sebetto going into this weekend’s events.
