Rod George, Cory Haas, and Danny Holtgraver, all own wins this year for Team Fully Injected.
Team Fully Injected has been in the limelight lately with lots of success in the recent weeks. Top 10 and top 5 performances, a long with occasional victories, are giving Fully Injected, and their teammates, the attention that they deserve. The time of year to determine track championship potential is upon us, and Fully Injected has more than a few in the hunt.
Marks in the win column have been racking up recently by a few different Fully Injected performers including Rod George, Danny Holtgraver, and Cory Haas. Rod George stood in victory lane at both Mercer Raceway Park and Dog Hollow Speedway so far in 2011. Danny Holtgraver, who plans on competing at the Knoxville Nationals in a few short weeks, has racked up wins at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, Mercer Raceway Park, and Lernerville Speedway so far in 2011. Cory Haas recently picked up the biggest win of his 410ci sprint car career; the opening night of Pennsylvania sprint speedweek worth $7,000 at Lincoln Speedway.
Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania and Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania, both act as home to most of the FI team based in western Pennsylvania. In the Lernerville Speedway points race, its Carl Bowser and former World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series regular, Brian Ellenberger, sitting on top of the points ranks. Rod George, Brandon Matus, and Kevin Schaeffer, all sit among the top five in Lernerville Speedway points; ranking in that particular order in positions 3rd through 5th.
Mercer Raceway Park; a small, slighty banked, 3/8’s bullring located in Mercer, Pennsylvania, has Franklin, PA native, Bob Felmlee, on top of the sprint car point standings. Kittanning native, Rod George, also stands in the championship fight at Mercer; only 48 points behind Felmlee going into this weekend’s competition. Scott Priester, the full time pilot of the Dionise #15 at Mercer for the 2011 season, currently finds himself 4th in the standings. Adam Kekich, the youngster from Hermitage, PA, currently sits 5th in the point standings at Mercer Raceway Park; thus being the third FI teammate currently sitting in the top 5 of the Mercer Raceway Park championship standings.
Cory Haas, a fairly new additive to the FI mission, currently sits sixth in the Lincoln Speedway points standings, unofficially. The event last night at the Abbottstown oval, won by Brad McClelland, has not be calculated into the points standings. Haas was scored 16th in last night’s Lincoln Speedway Sunday night feature.
The All-Star Circuit of Champions, World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series, ASCS National Tour, and FAST competitors, all have events scheduled this week/weekend; beginning Wednesday night when the Outlaws tackle Oshweken Speedway in Oshweken, Ontario, Canada. From now until Knoxville, sprint car racing will be in full tilt- offering events for fans to attend in all parts of the country.
The World of Outlaws will be in competition two additional times this weekend; including more Canadian stops at Brockville Ontario Speedway, and Autodrome Drummond on Friday and Saturday night. The All-Star Circuit of Champions begin their annual Thunder Through the Plains on Thursday night at the Red River CO-OP Speedway in Winnipeg, Canada; and will continue to visit the upper midwest for the next few weeks.
Shane Stewart and the rest of the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by K&N Filters National Tour, will continue to spend their west coast swing along the Pacific this weekend by stopping by the Placerville Speedway in Placerville, California for a two day stop. This two day California weekend will end their west coast venture, and teams will then head back to the midwest to prepare for the Knoxville 360 Nationals, sanctioned by the ASCS, next weekend.
