North Jackson, Ohio (April 30th, 2013) – After recording two top five finishes, including a Lernerville Speedway victory, this past Friday and Saturday, April 26th & 27th, at two ultra-competitive Western Pennsylvania facilities; North Jackson, Ohio’s Jack Sodeman Jr. will be back in action this upcoming weekend for a trio of Western Pennsylvania events beginning Friday evening. The pilot of the Rudzik Racing, Rudzik Excavating, Economy Tooling no. 94 ‘410’ sprint car will kick start his three-race weekend in the western half of the ‘Keystone State’ on Friday evening, May 3rd, at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. The recent Lernerville Speedway winner will then move further north to the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania on Saturday evening, May 4th; before rounding out his upcoming weekend with an appearance at the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pennsylvania. With weather forecasts showing ‘all clear on the western front’ for the upcoming weekend, it is safe to predict not only great car counts for all three short track programs, but also a solid fan turnout.

Jack Sodeman Jr. will begin his weekend escapade at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania on Friday evening, May 3rd. The Friday night event will consist of a full ‘Fab Four’ program; featuring all four of Lernerville Speedway’s weekly divisions. Sodeman Jr. is the most recent winner at the Sarver 4/10’s mile oval; sweeping action on April 26th by not only winning his respective ‘410’ sprint car heat race, but also winning the ‘410’ sprint car main event. The 25-lap victory was Sodeman Jr.’s first of the 2013 season.

Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania will be hosting another round of ‘Saturday Night Live!’ weekly action on Saturday evening, May 4th. Sodeman Jr. and his Rudzik Racing no. 94 earned a top five finish last Saturday evening, April 27th, at the Mercer 3/8’s mile oval. The former Mercer Raceway Park winner finished fourth (4th) during the speedway’s first ‘410’ sprint car main event of 2013. Sodeman Jr. hopes to improve that finish by three positions this Saturday evening, and earn his first Mercer Raceway Park win of the 2013 season.

On Sunday evening, May 5th, Jack Sodeman Jr. will make his way south to Markleysburg, Pennsylvania for the first ever ‘410’ sprint car appearance at the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex. The ‘410 Showdown in the Laurel Highlands’ will feature a $4,000-to-win/$350-to-start sprint car main event; with some of the region’s top ‘410’ sprint car teams expected to be signed in. This historical program is expected to be the biggest paying ‘410’ event in Western Pennsylvania for 2013. Gates are scheduled to open at 4:00PM on Sunday, May 5th at the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex; with racing set to begin at 6:30PM. Check out www.roaringknob.com for more information.
