‘Gold Rush Program’ Announced by NDRL for ‘Winter Extreme’ and ‘Battle at the Border’!
Phoenix, AZ (October 28, 2013) The National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) would like to announce the addition of the ‘Gold Rush Program’ for the 2014 ‘Winter Extreme’ events at Tucson (AZ) International Raceway and the ‘Battle at the Border’ at the El Paso (TX) Speedway Park to be held in January. With rising travel costs, the NDRL would like to give fans and businesses the opportunity to help their favorite drivers attend the NDRL events at Tucson International Raceway and El Paso Speedway Park.
The NDRL Gold Rush Program is designed to raise money for drivers and their teams so they can attend NDRL events at Tucson (AZ) International Raceway or El Paso (TX) Speedway Park in January of 2014. The NDRL’s ‘Winter Extreme’ at Tucson International Raceway will kick off the 2014 season starting with an open practice session on January 10, 2014 and will have six events through January 19, 2014. The NDRL will also be in action at the ‘Battle at the Border’ at El Paso Speedway Park beginning with an open practice on January 23, 2014. Three full events will take place from January 24, 2014 through January 26, 2014 at El Paso Speedway Park.
Fans can vote for their favorite driver to attend these NDRL events at Tucson International Raceway and/or El Paso Speedway Park. This is a way for fans to support their favorite driver by becoming a ‘part of the team’. $25.00 gets your driver one vote and fans can vote as many times as they wish, keep in mind, each vote is $25.00. 100% of the net proceeds donated to the NDRL Gold Rush Program through the voting process will go to the drivers receiving the most votes.
All donations will go into the NDRL Gold Rush Program fund, each driver receiving votes will be invited to the NDRL’s ‘Winter Extreme’ and ‘Battle at the Border’ events. Funds in the NDRL Gold Rush Program will be distributed evenly to the voted drivers in attendance. The drivers are guaranteed their share of the NDRL Gold Rush Program funds, regardless of how they perform.
The ‘Winter Extreme’ at Tucson International Raceway kicks off on Friday, January 10, 2014 with an open practice session for NDRL Late Models and Modifieds. The NDRL Late Models will then compete for a $3,000 to-win top prize on Saturday, January 11 and a $5,000 winner’s prize on Sunday, January 12. After a two-day break, the ‘Winter Extreme’ action will return on Wednesday, January 15 as another $3,000 will be on the line to the winner. A short one day break will set up the final weekend of the 2014 ‘Winter Extreme’ as the NDRL Late Models will compete for $3,000 to-win on Friday, January 17, $5,000 to-win on Saturday, January 18, and finish with a whopping $10,000 to-win event on Sunday, January 19. Full Modified shows will accompany the NDRL Late Models each night.
The ‘Battle at the Border’ at El Paso Speedway Park will get under way with a practice night on Thursday, January 23 before the NDRL Late Models compete in a $3,000 to-win event on Friday, January 24. The ‘Battle at the Border’ will continue on Saturday, January 25 with a $5,000 to-win event for the NDRL Late Models as the ASCS Winged Sprints will be in action as well.
