(Pulaski, PA)…Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Racing Series Directors Vicki Emig and Mike Leone have already been hard at work on plans for the 2014 season. The Series will feature under its umbrella year number two for the Late Models along with the highly-anticipated debut of the Sportsman Modifieds in 2014. One of the new attributes for member racers of both divisions will be an excess participant accident insurance policy as well as the option to purchase a CAP (Competitive Advantage Program) policy for both themselves and crew members.
A RUSH membership (Late Model or Sportsman Modified) will automatically enroll the racer into the Excess Participant Accident Policy giving the racer $100,000 of excess medical benefit insurance; coverage is excess over participant’s health insurance and track’s participant accident insurance while participating in a RUSH-sanctioned event. Membership cost is $125 or $225 for Late Model racers that join both Weekly and Touring. 2014 membership forms are available on both the www.rushracingseries.com website for the Late Models and the www.rushsportsmanmods.com site for the Modifieds. You can also read the entire policy on our insurance link on our websites.
Additionally, racers and crew members will have the ability to purchase a CAP policy for just $217. This optional program features an additional $500,000 full excess accident medical expenses over the participant’s health insurance and track Participant Accident Insurance, $10,000 accidental death and dismemberment coverage. You can sign up and read all about the benefits as well as see a copy of the CAP policy at www.competitiveadvantageprogram.com or under the insurance link on our websites.
“We’re really proud to be able to provide and promote these insurance programs,” stated Emig. “It’s no secret that a lot of racers do not carry their own health insurance. Once the track’s benefits are exhausted, it can really leave an injured racer in a financial crisis. Now at the very least our member racers will have an additional $100,000 safety net, and then those that choose the CAP program would have $600,000 over and above! We have to thank Jeff Ladd of Sports Insurance Specialist for making these programs available to our racers.”
