This three-day mega event will once again be sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and will be held at Florence Speedway in Union, KY August 7ththrough the 9th. This year’s event will have a new format that will include drivers running two sets of heat races on Friday night with passing points determining the starting field for the feature event on Saturday.

Activity will get underway on Thursday night, August 7th, with an open practice session starting at 5 PM. On Friday August 8th,activities will include LOLMDS Hot-Laps, Double LOLMDS Heat Races with Modifieds running as a support class. Following Friday night’s events, there will be a fan/racer appreciation party at the track. Then on Saturday, August 9th, activities will include the hall of fame ceremony, three (3) LOLMDS B-Mains, two (2) LOLMDS Dashes, a 30-lap $2,500 to Win Non-Qualifiers race and the 100-Lap Feature event. The Modifieds will run a $2,000 to win feature event following the LOLMDS main event. The 32nd Annual Sunoco North/South 100 – Presented by Lucas Oil will pay $50,000 to win and $2,500 to start.
This event will also be part of the Bad Boy Mowers TV Challenge as the Lucas Oil Production Studios will be on hand to tape the event to air on several TV Networks in 2014. The driver that earns the most points in the TV Race Events receives a $10,000 cash bonus at the series awards banquet. Don O’Neal from Martinsville, IN leads the Bad Boy Mowers TV Race point standings over Earl Pearson Jr. and Jimmy Owens. The Sunoco North/South 100 – Presented by Lucas Oil is also part of the ASi Racewear Crown Jewel Cup-Presented by DirtonDirt.com. The driver that earns the most points in the nine (9) Crown Jewel Cup Events receives a $10,000 cash bonus at the series awards banquet. Don O’Neal leads the CJC point standings as well.
With the upcoming 32nd Annual Sunoco Race Fuels North/South 100 – Presented by Lucas Oil on the horizon, anticipation is running high over the new format and the Non-Qualifiers race that has been added to the schedule for Saturday. In the previous 30 North/South 100 events, 19 different drivers have been able to hoist the trophy at the end of the night. LOLMDS competitor Jimmy Owens and the late Hall of Fame driver, Jack Boggs of Grayson, KY are the only two drivers who have etched their names in the record books as three-time winners of the race. Don O’Neal picked up his second career victory in the Sunoco North/South 100 – Presented by Lucas Oil in 2013.
