Pittsburgh, PA (August 20th, 2014) – Danny Holtgraver and Hunter Racing will spend the upcoming weekend competing with the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions during a pair of events at the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. The UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions will host back-to-back nights of competition this Saturday and Sunday, August 23rd & 24th at the Mercer bullring; highlighted with a $5,000-to-win finale on Sunday evening, August 24th. The UNOH All Star weekend will also feature a $3,000-to-win preliminary program on Saturday evening, August 23rd. Holtgraver, who is a former UNOH All Star winner at the Mercer bullring, is anxious for the upcoming weekend. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native will have many sponsors and supporters in attendance during the entire weekend program.
“We are pretty excited to get back to Mercer this weekend” said Danny Holtgraver, “With it being so close to home, we definitely wanted to support their two-day deal…we have a lot of sponsors and supporters that live in the area and this gives us two opportunities in the same weekend to race in front of them…we’ve had a lot of success at Mercer…hopefully we can keep that trend going and get this ‘10H’ up front!”
Holtgraver, who pilots the Hunter Racing, Berlin Natural Bakery, Golden Flavor Sesame Sticks, Bonnell’s Rod Shop, Alternative Power Sources, WestView Motors, DKW Transport, no. 10H ‘410’ sprint car, will spend the upcoming weekend at Mercer Raceway Park, only; no plans for Friday have been discussed. The former Lernerville Speedway track champion has one victory at the Mercer oval already in 2014, and has a total of six victories to his credit over the course of the current season. Two of those six victories were earned during UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions competition.
“It has been a pretty good season so far…we’ve had our highs and our lows for sure” said Holtgraver, “I just want to thank everyone who is involved; Rob Hunter, my Dad, Pup, Barman, Earl, Sandy, Josh…the list goes on for a long time, but everyone plays a huge role…wouldn’t be able to make it happen without their help!”
During recent sprint car competition, Danny Holtgraver and Hunter Racing earned a pair of top-twelve finishes at ovals in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Holtgraver earned a runner-up finish at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania last Friday evening, August 15th; all before finishing 11th at the Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio on Saturday, August 16th. Holtgraver started 16th in the Attica main event.
