T.J. Michael Earns Top-Five and Podium Finish at Red River Speedway
Lonestar Speedway in Kilgore Next!

Plano, Texas (February 17th, 2015) – After recording two consecutive top-five finishes during his first weekend of ‘305’ sprint car competition, including a podium finish, it is safe to say that T.J. Michael is off on the right foot, literally. Michael, a Plano, Texas native, opened his 2015 season at the Red River Speedway near Iowa Park, Texas on Friday and Saturday, February 13th & 14th; earning a fourth place finish and a runner-up finish during the course of the weekend. The pilot of the Kenny Clark owned no. 18 ‘305’ sprint car, wrenched by Scott Bartson and Glynn Evans, kicked-off the weekend at Red River Speedway with a fourth place performance on Friday evening after starting seventh, followed by a runner-up finish on Saturday after starting the main event from the inside of row number two.
“It was a great way to start the year” explained T.J. Michael, “I think we were good enough to win on Friday night and Saturday night, but we have a long season ahead to make up for that…I can’t thank Scott Bartson and Glynn Evans enough for what they do for this race team…we make a great combination and it is already showing with our results…Kenny Clark allowed us to bring his car down here and we appreciate that more than anything…hopefully we can keep things rolling in the right direction and earn our first win of 2015 real soon.”
T.J. Michael will continue his 2015 campaign this Saturday evening, February 21st at the Lonestar Speedway near Kilgore, Texas. Michael will take part in the ‘Sprint Smackdown’ featuring the RaceSaver ‘305’ sprint cars. The ‘Sprint Smackdown’ will award $1,000 to the main event winner.
“This weekend is a big one for use” explained T.J. Michael, “The ‘Sprint Smackdown’ is a race we have been excited for…it’s a higher paying event for the ‘305’ sprints and it is Lonestar Speedway’s first race of the season…we have a lot of momentum and a lot of confidence heading into this weekend…we will work as hard as we can to get to victory lane.”
