Brent Marks Earns Top-Five Finish at Lincoln ‘Spring Championship’
Potential Three Race Weekend Ahead in ‘Posse Country’

Myerstown, PA (April 7th, 2015) – Brent Marks landed his red ‘19M’ in the top-five once again in central Pennsylvania; this time earning a fifth place finish during the Lincoln Speedway ‘Sprint Spring Championship’ on Saturday, April 4th. The $5,000-to-win program, attracting 25 ‘410’ sprint cars to the Pigeon Hills, utilized qualifying time trials to help layout the entire evening format. Marks would record the 13th fastest time of the night during qualifying time trials. The Myerstown, Pennsylvania native would finish second during his respective heat race, resulting in a sixth row main event starting position after qualifying times came back into play. Marks would rally from the outside of row six to a fifth place finish; equalling his third top-five performance of the 2015 season at Lincoln Speedway.
“Not a bad weekend” said Brent Marks, “I wish the weather would have been a little better so we could have raced on Friday at The Grove, but that’s something we obviously can’t control…all in all, it was a good night at Lincoln…we timed about mid pack…we didn’t time bad, but it still hurt us a little bit…we were good in the feature…got back into the top-five after starting twelfth so that is a pretty big accomplishment…we are definitely consistent and that is important, but we still want to get that first win…this team works hard…we have some great sponsors that make everything possible…that win will come soon enough!”
Up next on the agenda is a potential triple-header in ‘Pennsylvania Posse’ country. The Brent Marks Racing, BAPS Auto Paint & Supplies, Creekside Auto Sales, Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel, ‘19M’ team will visit three venues during the upcoming weekend; beginning with competition at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on Friday evening, April 10th. Marks will visit the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania on Saturday evening, April 11th; his first visit to the Juniata County Fairgrounds half-mile in 2015. The three-race weekend will wrap-up on Sunday, April 12th at the Susquehanna Speedway Park near York Haven, Pennsylvania. ‘SSP’ will host the ‘Sprint Car Spring Classic VI’ on Sunday; the first of nearly ten ‘410’ sprint car appearances in 2015.
Brent Marks will enter the upcoming three-race weekend fourth in the current central Pennsylvania ‘410’ sprint car championship standings. Brian Montieth stands on top of the current rankings; followed by Greg Hodnett, Danny Dietrich and Brent Marks. Marks will have the opportunity to earn points towards the central PA title at all three scheduled events this weekend.
