NEW CASTLE, IN (June 7, 2017) – Caleb Armstrong made his second career start at Lernerville and Mercer Raceway this weekend and came away with two top-ten’s to his credit. With 42 cars signed in at Lernerville, Armstrong was able to score a heat race victory locking him into the dash where he would move forward to finish fourth, lining him up eighth for the feature. Armstrong would end up tenth in the official rundown. “It could have been better and definitely could have been worse,” Armstrong said about his run at Lernerville.
Saturday, Armstrong and the rest of the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions headed to Mercer Raceway Park where 34 cars were signed in. Armstrong timed second in his group and finished third in his heat, lining him up 12th for the feature. From there, Armstrong worked forward to ninth. “I’m happy to get out of there with a top-ten,” Armstrong said at the conclusion of the weekend. It was Armstrong’s eighth top-ten finish, as he continues to sit second in the point standings trailing only five-time and defending champion, Chad Kemenah.
The Arctic Cat All Stars head west this week for a three-race stretch in the Midwest. Friday the tour will stop in Lincoln, IL at the Lincoln Fairgrounds before heading to Macon Speedway the following night. Sunday the tour will cross the border to compete at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa. A strong field of cars is expected at all three events.
Armstrong runs a family owned team and is eager to welcome new partnerships at anytime to help him remain competitive on the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champion tour.
Armstrong was quick to thank his current partners: Baker Crop Insurance, Neal Metal Recycling, All-Star Performance, Armstrong Farms, Specialty Fuels & Logistics, Beast Enterprise, Simpson Racing Products, Wilwood Brakes, Wings Unlimited, PAC Racing Springs, Penske Shocks, and Schoenfeld Headers. Armstrong appreciatively echoed that he would not be able to stay on the All Star tour without these great partners.
