Armstrong logs successful New York swing with Arctic Cat All Stars
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
NEW CASTLE, IN (August 2, 2017) – Despite entering the weekend with zero experience in the state of New York, second year traveler, Caleb Armstrong, made the most of his three-race trek through the Empire State with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions, logging two top-ten finishes, as well as an 11th place finish at the largest oval on the schedule.
Armstrong, pilot of the Baker Crop Insurance/Neal Metal Recycling/All-Star Performance/Armstrong Farms/No. 7C, visited Outlaw Speedway in Dundee; Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown; and Lebanon Valley Speedway in West Lebanon during his trip to New York, finishing 11th at Middletown after starting 21st, seventh in Dundee, and second in West Lebanon.
The productive weekend, arguably one of his most impressive stretches of consecutive finishes on the season, allowed the New Castle, Indiana, native to maintain third in the Arctic Cat All Star championship standings, now with 15 top-ten finishes, six inside the top-five.
“We had a great weekend. I’m proud of the whole team. It always feels good to string together a bunch of good results, especially in areas I’ve never seen before,” Armstrong explained. “The wins will come soon, I hope. We’ve been digging and digging. We have a few weekends off from our All Star schedule. I think the plan is to race in Ohio until we get back on the road with the All Stars.”
The 2017 Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions schedule will not resume until Thursday, August 17, the Series kicks off a four-race swing through Central Pennsylvania. In the meantime, the familiar No. 7C operation will potentially make an appearance at Atomic (OH) Speedway, as well as Mansfield Motor Speedway for the inaugural Great Lakes Dirt Nationals.
