T.J. Michael continues to impress; Waynesfield Summer Sprint Sizzler on deck

FREMONT, Ohio (July 2, 2018) – Continuing a stretch of success that already includes multiple FAST Series top-ten finishes, as well as a top-ten finish against Tony Stewart’s All Star Circuit of Champions, the “Texas Traveler” T.J. Michael concluded his June schedule in a big way, this time earning a podium performance, as well as a top-ten, during FAST Series action at Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway on June 29 & 30, respectively.
For Michael, the positive results not only pad statistics, they also act as motivators, catapulting him closer and closer toward his first victory of the 2018 season.
“Things are going really well right now and I couldn’t be happier. When we finish well, we have more fun. That also gives us more confidence and the motivation to work harder,” Michael explained, driver of the Michael Motorsports/Advanced Cast Stone/Fremont Fence Company/Crown Battery/Kear’s Speed Shop/Hinchman Suits/Big D’s Pizza of Fremont and Clyde/Kistler Racing Engines/Maxim Chassis/Wood Heating & Air Conditioning/Pro Tech Service Company/No. 8M sprint car. “It’s just one big cycle. The plan is to keep this going for the rest of the season. That first win is coming soon. I want it in the worst way.”
Michael kicked-off his recent weekend with a runner-up finish at Attica Raceway Park on Friday night, June 29. The Ohioan via Plano, Texas, qualified for the FAST Series main event by finishing second during his respective heat race. The A-main result was Michael’s best finish of the season during competition at Attica Raceway Park.
Already proving his ability to pass race cars during prior hard charges, Michael wrapped-up his June schedule with a rally from 15th to finish eighth during FAST action at Fremont Speedway on Saturday, June 30. Michael qualified for main event action by finishing fifth during his respective heat race; he started sixth with only five making the cut.
Up next on the schedule, Michael will make the short trip south to Waynesfield (Ohio) Raceway Park on Tuesday, July 3, for the FAST Series sanctioned Summer Sprint Sizzler worth $3,000. It will be the first and only FAST Series appearance at Waynesfield in 2018.

2018 Highlights: Earned a pair of top-ten finishes with OVSCA on Friday and Saturday, May 11-12; fifth at Hilltop Speedway (Millersburg, Ohio) and seventh at Wayne County (Ohio) Speedway. Earned top-ten (6th) finish with FAST Series at Fremont Speedway on Saturday, May 26. Charged from 19th to finish eighth at Attica on Friday, June 1, followed by a charge from 18th to finish 10th at Fremont on Saturday, June 2. Rallied from 12th to sixth during All Star/Speedweek A-main at Sharon Speedway on June 19. Advanced from 18th to 12th during Atomic Speedway/Speedweek make-up feature on June 23.
