FOREST, Ohio (July 22, 2019) – It was a busy week for Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports, as the Forest, Ohio-based racing operation joined the best of the Midwest, as well as all of the stars of USAC, during four consecutive starts across Ohio and much of Indiana.

Despite a few hiccups during starts at Gas City Speedway and Kokomo Speedway, Westfall and the ever-familiar ‘Bumblebee Express’ did secure one top-ten finish during their Indiana Sprint Week attempt, also putting on an impressive passing display at Plymouth Speedway on Friday, July 19.

Westfall ended his evening at Plymouth with a charge from 19th to finish 11th against a stout field of USAC National Sprint Car Series regulars.

Westfall’s top-ten appearance occurred at the World’s Greatest Dirt Track – Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, during round two of #LetsRaceTwo on Wednesday evening, July 17. Securing his spot in the evening’s main event by winning the consolation semi-feature, Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports went on to rally from 10th to finish sixth at The Big E.

The two-time BOSS winner in 2019 is certainly no stranger to USAC National Sprint Car Series competition, recently capturing a tenth place performance during Knoxville Raceway’s Corn Belt Nationals in early July.

“It was a busy week for our team, but the guys did their best and that’s all I can ask for,” Ray Marshall explained, owner of the Ray Marshall Motorsports/Buckeye Machine Fabricators, Inc./Crazy Lady Restaurant and Bar/Hempy Water/DPI Ink/No. 33M sprint car. “We had our ups and downs, but the ups certainly make up for any tough outings. We’ll take the next few days to regroup before making the trek to Pennsylvania to continue our BOSS commitments.”

Up next on the schedule, Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports will make the trip to Dirt’s Monster Half Mile – Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial, Pennsylvania, for Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS) action on Saturday, July 27. Westfall owns two BOSS victories this season, scoring wins at Atomic Speedway in April, as well as a recent victory at Fremont Speedway on July 13.
